The jobs MIG and TIG can't do
Dillon doesn't do the same job as your other welders. It does the ones they can't.
The seam stays workable
A MIG bead is hard and brittle — it has to be ground, and grinding thins the panel. A Dillon seam is soft: you can hammer, file and planish it just like the original sheet.
0.5 bar — why the panel doesn't warp
A conventional torch runs higher pressure and a turbulent flame that scatters heat everywhere. The Dillon flame is soft and concentrated — the heat goes where you point it, and the seam stays stress-free even in 0.8 mm sheet.
No power needed
With the bottles you have a complete workshop — out in the yard or in a shed with no 400 V.
Cheaper to run
Efficient combustion means the torch uses considerably less gas. The bottles last noticeably longer.
Built to be inherited
Solid brass and copper. No circuit boards. Tip cleaners and new tips are all it needs over the years.
One tool, four jobs
Replaces four machines
Weld
Steel, stainless, aluminium and cast iron up to 8–10 mm.
Braze
Bronze and brass — including brass brazing onto cast iron.
Heat
Rusted nuts, bending and straightening without deforming what surrounds them.
Cut
Straight cuts in steel up to 25 mm with cutting attachment and guide.
Proof, not claims

Weld 1 mm aluminium without burning through
The mixing chamber and 0.5 bar give a soft, extremely concentrated flame. Full control, minimal heat spread, industrial quality.
Repair cracked cast iron — structurally
Cast iron cracks easily as the joint cools. The soft flame gives full control of the melt and a homogeneous result that matches the parent material.
Cut 25 mm steel with the same torch
No separate plasma cutter, no bulky cutting torch. Straight, clean cuts in plate and beam — a stable process that saves time, gas and material.
Braze steel with copper cable — entirely without flux
The clean, concentrated flame lays a protective atmosphere over the melt. The copper flows out into a tight joint — an experiment that proves how well the system stops oxidation.

Which kit
Standard or Pro

Standard Kit
6,900 SEK incl. VAT
Hobby, car restoration, general craft
Materials: Steel, stainless, aluminium and cast iron (with rod + flux)
What is included

Pro Kit
Professional9,800 SEK incl. VAT
Bodywork and sheet-metal fabrication
Materials: Same materials as Standard — plus lead loading and tight spaces
What is included
Unsure? Most hobby users do fine with Standard. Pro accessories can be bought separately later.
When not to buy a Dillon
If you're laying long beads in heavy structural steel all day, MIG is faster. Dillon is for the jobs in between.
Getting started
What you need besides the kit
If you already have gas welding gear, your cylinders, regulators and hoses fit Dillon straight away.
Before you buy
Frequently asked questions
Can I use my existing cylinders and regulators?
Yes. Standard hose works. Both gases run at 0.5 bar.
Can I run propane or LPG?
No. Dillon requires acetylene and oxygen.
Which materials can I weld and cut?
Steel, stainless, aluminium, cast iron, cast aluminium, brass and copper. Weld 8–10 mm, cut 25 mm steel.
Do I need flux?
Aluminium and cast iron: yes. Steel: no.
Why 0.5 bar and not higher pressure?
Low velocity gives a soft, concentrated flame without turbulence. The result is soft, formable seams rather than hard ones.
